Completing Volunteer Requirements

Volunteer Training

To complete AYSO's training requirements, you will need to have enrolled in a volunteer position. Once enrolled in a volunteer position, you will see a page similar to the following in your account.

From here, you can begin the process by submitting for your background check.

After submitting for a background check, Click on the AYSOU tab to complete the training for AYSO Safe Haven, Concussion Awareness, and Sudden Cardiac Arrest certifications. Once complete, you will check the boxes for each and click the "Renew and Update" button.

After clicking the AYSOU button for the first time, you will be brought to a screen like the one below. Please read the documents and sign the acknowledgement.

After submitting acknowledgement for use of the site, you will be brought to a page like the one below.

Click on the "Course Categories" page. You will be brought to a page like the one below. Click on "View Courses" within the "Safe Haven" card.

You will be brought to a page like the one below. Click on "Enroll" for "AYSO's Safe Haven".

Clicking "Enroll" and "Start" on the following page will bring you into the training. Complete the training and you will be presented with a PDF certificate. Save this certificate. You will need to upload it within your training page from the first step.

After completing the Safe Haven training, proceed to the Concussion Awareness training.

Clicking "Enroll" and "Start" on the following page will bring you into the training. Complete the training and you will be presented with a PDF certificate. Save this certificate. You will need to upload it within your training page from the first step.

After completing the Concussion Awareness training, proceed to the Sudden Cardiac Arrest training.

After completing these three trainings, go back to your account, upload, and submit your certificates.

From this point, you can proceed to completing your SafeSport training. Checking the SafeSport box and clicking the "Renew & Update" button will pop up a box like the one below.

Click the URL to open a new tab with the SafeSport application. Sign up for a new account if not done-so prior.

Once your account is created, you will be presented with a screen containing Terms and Conditions. Accept, and you will be brought to your home page.

Clicking the "My Courses" button will take you to the courses that you need to complete. Clicking start will allow you to go through the training. The Safesport complete training requires 90 minutes to complete. This training is only required every three years. Annual refresher training will be required otherwise. You will receive a PDF certificate once the training is complete. Upload the certificate within your volunteer portal.
